Nana

Nana flew in from the southwest to have Christmas in McCall.  It was a blast!  Bows and arrows, snosuits, cop cars, army cars, walkie talkies, rodeo cowboys/girls/animals/trucks and trailers, guitars.  WHEW!!  Someone said the other day, "Christmas is for kids" and I disagreed but now will add "Christmas is more fun when you have kids!"  It was great watching them rip open the gifts and have so much fun playing.  THANK YOU NANA for adding such fun to Christmas!  We loved it and we love having you visit.

Today we will read about our Savior and his birth and the reason we celebrate and give gifts.  Another thing I heard that I slightly disagree with is "the season is not about gifts"  I believe Christmas is ALL about gifts.  Before your heartrate shoots through the roof, let me explain.

Christ gave us the ultimate gift of love.  He came to earth as a man and paid for my sins.  Heaven Father gave us the miraculous gift of His Son.  Mary and Joseph offered us the gift of sacrifice for all they gave to bring Christ to the world, to raise him and to suffer with him through his life and in his death.  The wise men came and gave the Baby Jesus gifts to honor him.  I believe the gifts we give each other symbolize, even in just a small way, all these gifts and more.

My thoughts are in unison with yours! Thank goodness for Christ and his perfect life and the many gifts and blessings we receive daily, that truly have value because of Him. Merry Christmas Crossleys! Thanks for your friendship and for living life the right way!
